    Fundraising Support

We will provide you with the following documents to assist you in your fundraising:

How to set up your MAD JustGiving Page

MAD Sponsorship Pledge Form – for collecting pledges in cash before transferring them online via JustGiving

MAD Fundraising Certificate – to show you are signed up to a Project in Ghana

MAD Fundraising Pack – to help kick start some ideas for activities you may wish to do pre-trip

Donation to Project Costs (MAD Foundation)

Project Donations can be done via offline fundraising or individual and group JustGiving pages – to the MAD (Make A Difference) Foundation.

Fundraising Targets can be reduced depending on choice of Project Goal should you wish to tackle, but we are suggesting a GBP 500 individual target unless you feel you want to raise your target higher.

The individual Fundraising Targets direct to the MAD Foundation can all be raised by Just Giving (or an alternative fundraising platform if preferred) and covers a contribution towards MAD Foundation's sustainable development initiatives which includes the cost of all building materials and local skilled labour that will be tasked to your team during their visit, and finance to local entrepreneurs to kick start their businesses. Plus packs of sports equipment to a selection of Primary Schools that includes installing football, volleyball and netball posts and nets, and a store of balls for the schools.

We encourage you to try and meet your goal around 30 days before departure in order for Just Giving to forward your Project specific donations onto our MAD Foundation.

    Health and Travel Visas

Depending on your travel history, you should check if you need travel jabs or boosters from your GP or travel nurse – as a minimum antimalarials will need to be taken daily and cost depends on what your doctor recommends but budget around £60 to £70 for these.

A Single Entry Ghana Tourist Visa will cost you £50.

    Return Flights to Accra

Not Included - Please budget for separately depending on where you are flying from.

From the UK, Flight costs vary from £450 to £750 depending on preferred connecting times, checked in baggage fees, airlines sales periods etc.
